The idea was to send hand written letters (known to be much more effective than emails) to the higher powers of different nations. In these letter we highlighted specific human right violations occurring in their country and urged them to take action. We found these specific cases through Amnesty Internationals website, which you can find here. I don't work for/volunteer with Amnesty International but I have taken part in one of their letter writing parties on Human Rights Day (December 10th), and thought why not have one in the middle of August?
Thank you to everyone who came out, it was especially nice to have people I didn't know show up.
p.s I took a ton of photo's, but sadly these are the only survivors.
